JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Construction to fortify the North Fork Dam is scheduled to begin by Jan. 5, and when that multi-million-dollar project is complete, another is expected to follow.

The Greater Johnstown Water Authority’s consent order with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection requires construction at North Fork Dam to begin by Jan. 5, or the GJWA would be assessed financial penalties daily until construction begins. ×
