Tributes are pouring in for a well-known Bristol City fan, who tragically lost his life after falling from a ladder while hanging Union Jack flags on lampposts near his South Bristol home.
Paul Lumber was a prominent figure in the infamous CSF - City Service Firm - during the 'casuals' era of the 1980s. More recently, he penned two books about his adventures, making him a familiar face among football enthusiasts nationwide.
Friends have described Paul as a unique individual, and his passing is being deeply mourned across South Bristol. On November 23, Paul sustained severe injuries, including significant head trauma, when he fell from a height while putting up flags near his home.
He was immediately rushed to hospital but never regained consciousness
