MIDDLETOWN – Monroe-Woodbury earned a hard-fought a 50-47 boys’ basketball win at Middletown on Thursday night.
The difference was the fourth quarter when Monroe-Woodbury (2-0) outscored the Middies 14-11. The Crusaders led 30-29 at halftime. Dozie Nwigwe led Monroe-Woodbury with 18 points. Fabrice Ndja added nine points for the Crusaders, Jamir Johnson scored eight, and Kristopher Bjaelker put up seven.
Jeremiah Forbes and Baker Jimenez each scored 10 points for Middletown.
