HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. (WCJB) - Florida Highway Patrol troopers are warning drivers about smoky conditions on some roadways in the area of High Springs.
Troopers say a 165-acre controlled burn is active in the area of State Road 25 and Southwest Oak Ridge Street in Columbia County, near High Springs.
Due to the burn, smoke is expected to impact visibility in the area. Officials say drivers should reduce their speed and use low-beam headlights when driving through smoke.
