FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Department of Justice is suing Fulton County over access to 2020 election materials.

According to a complaint filed December 11 and signed by DOJ Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, the head of the Civil Rights Division, Fulton County was subpoenaed by the State Election Board (SEB) for 2020 election materials to include "all used and void ballots, stubs of all ballots, signature envelopes, and corresponding envelope digital files."

The SEB earlier this year passed a resolution asking the U.S. Attorney General to step in assist with "effect(ing) compliance with voting transparency," the complaint states, and issued a subpoena to Fulton County on October 6.
