ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WILX) - Former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore is set to appear in court for arraignment on criminal charges Friday.

Moore was arrested Wednesday , reportedly on assault charges, the same day he was fired after two years in charge of the program — news that sent shockwaves through the U of M community .

His arraignment is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. News 10 will livestream the hearing in the player above.

In a statement late Wednesday afternoon, school officials said Moore had been “terminated, with cause, effective immediately” after a university investigation uncovered “credible evidence” that Moore had engaged in an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member.
