The Election Commission has removed over 58 lakh names after the first phase of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in West Bengal.
The highest number of names were removed in areas like Chowringhee and Kolkata Port in Kolkata, while four times more names were removed from CM Mamata Banerjee's Bhabanipur seat compared to Suvendu Adhikari's Nandigram seat.
