MORGANTOWN, Ky. – A Morgantown man is charged after driving illegally while posing as a first responder.
Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor says officers conducted a traffic stop due to reckless driving on Thursday evening
Chief Taylor says dispatchers received a complaint of a pick-up truck activating red emergency lights and stopping abruptly in front of other vehicles.
The roadways were hazardous due to snowfall.
Chief Taylor says officers made contact with the driver, Jonathan Morris, 57, of Morgantown.
Following an investigation, officers say Morris’s truck was equipped with a red flashing light bar, a siren, and multiple radios.
One of the radios can receive local police frequencies.
Officers determined that Morris did not possess a valid driver’s license and is not affiliat
