NAUGATUCK, CT (WFSB) - A man was arrested for hitting a Naugatuck police cruiser with his car, then fleeing the scene, police said.
Police identified the driver as 21-year-old Jordan Montini of Waterbury.
They said the incident happened on Wednesday around 6 p.m.
The officer in the cruiser drove around a roundabout at the intersections of Meadow Street, Cherry Street, and Rubber Avenue when the marked cruiser was hit by a black Audi.
“The Audi left the scene and was later stopped in the area of Elm Street,” Naugatuck police said in their report. “The officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.”
Montini was arrested and charged with evading responsibility resulting in injury and property damage, as well as failure to grant right of way at an intersection.
