Mohamed Salah is set to return to the Liverpool squad that takes on Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield tomorrow (Saturday). It comes after talks were held with head coach Arne Slot today (Friday).

Salah has started the last three Premier League fixtures on the bench for the Reds and was left out of the travelling party entirely on Monday when the club flew to Milan for the Champions League clash with Inter after an incendiary post-match interview where he claimed he had been "thrown under the bus" and cited a breakdown in his relationship with Slot .

The decision was taken, with the full support of the Liverpool boss, to leave Salah on Merseyside as a result of his bombshell interview he held following the 3-3 draw with Leeds United, where the Egyptian was an unused substitut
