BACKING UP A BIG WEEK
The turn from the end of November to the start of December proved to be incredibly difficult for Ipswich, with defeat at Oxford United preceding a really poor performance in a 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers.
Harsh words were exchanged after the clash at Ewood Park, a game which left supporters disillusioned and concerned about the direction of travel. However, within the space of a few days, that all changed.
League leaders Coventry City were swatted aside at Portman Road – Sindre Walle Egeli, George Hirst and Ivan Azon all on the scoresheet in a 3-0 win that totally changed the mood.
