A huge bus fire at a depot in Greenock is being treated as deliberate by police. Emergency services were called to Lynedoch Street in the Inverclyde town after the fire started shortly before 4.50pm on Friday December 12.
Two Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews were sent to tackle the bus fire and managed to bring it under control after a number of hours. No one was injured as a result of the fire but the bus has been destroyed.
Police locked down several streets around the depot as a result of heavy smoke. Pictures from the scene showed a huge emergency services response, with a bystander describing seeing around a dozen police and fire vehicles.
