It has been cold in Maryland with two weeks of below-normal temperatures, and the trend will continue this weekend with some possible snow accumulation.

WHAT: The WBAL weather team is monitoring snow in the forecast starting Saturday evening.
Temperatures on Saturday will reach the 40s but will drop below freezing for the evening, setting up perfect conditions for snow to stick to surfaces and roads.
WHEN: The system is expected to begin after 8 p.m. Saturday as a mix of rain and sleet (which could impact snow accumulation totals) before switching to all snow by midnight and into early Sunday.
Temperatures will be around 35, falling to 29 by 7 a.m. Sunday.
