On Saturday at 1:16 p.m. the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from 10 p.m. until Sunday 1 p.m. for Northern Westchester as well as Putnam and Rockland counties.
"Total snow accumulations between 2 and 3 inches expected, locally 4 inches possible," comments the weather service. "Light snow develops after 6pm, becoming steadier after 10pm. Snowfall rates up to 1/2' hr possible overnight into Sunday morning, resulting in reduced visibilities and snow covered roads. Snow ending mid to late Sunday morning."
