COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Several organizations across the Columbus area are hosting Christmas toy drives and holiday events throughout December to bring joy to local families and children in need.

The holiday giving season kicked off Saturday with Davis Broadcasting’s 39th Annual Children’s Christmas Party at Peachtree Mall. The free event, held from 8 a.m. at 3131 Manchester Expressway, featured a walk-through winter wonderland for children 12 years and under. Each family received a chance to win a new bike, and live performances were provided by Hardaway High School Band and Spencer High School Band. Children were required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
