The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is building a new housing complex in Ocean County designed to help veterans struggling with homelessness.

Land is being cleared for construction of Veterans Village at 539 Atlantic City Blvd. in the Bayville section of Berkeley Township. A 2026 opening is planned.

The village will provide 98 single-occupancy apartments and 24 stand-alone comfort homes exclusively for veterans.

The facility will offer more than just housing, according to a statement by Tunnel to Towers .

The ground floor will house support services including job training, legal services, benefits assistance, education programs, and mental health counseling.

The complex will also feature a gym, workforce development center, multipurpose room, game room, and lounges.
