LOCKWOOD, Mont. – The Lockwood Fire Department has been spreading Christmas cheer in the community for over 30 years with their Santa in the District event.
Firefighters have embraced this holiday tradition by bringing gifts, smiles and a sense of connection to families throughout the district.
"Every single year, rain, snow or sun, we're out there," said Katie Haider, a firefighter and paramedic at the Lockwood Fire Department.
This year's event faced freezing temperatures and heavy snow, slowing things down slightly. However, the weather did not stop Santa's visit.
"It was definitely a little slower this year with all of the snow and the freezing cold weather. But we still saw a lot of the people that we see every year, and that was always awesome," Haider said.
For the department,
