PHOENIX — A police officer was hit while conducting a traffic control in Phoenix, authorities said.

A Scottsdale police officer was conducting traffic control near 44th Street and Camelback Road, near where the inaugural Phoenix Marathon was being run, with northbound traffic stopped, around 8:45 a.m.
