JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. —

Most of the snow that moved through Friday morning has cleared, but many southern Indiana businesses are already preparing for the next round of winter weather expected to arrive Sunday night.

With more snow falling Saturday night, local shops say winter storm preparation means more than just watching the forecast; it can affect staffing, hours and sales.

“Tonight we will have to salt our walkways and then, you know, put up other signs, maybe drop our screens a little bit. Other than that, we are set to go after now,” said Jordyn Gardner, a lead at Coffee Crossing.

Gardner said some businesses also choose to delay opening to keep employees off the roads when conditions are uncertain.
