Colorado’s health insurance marketplace, “Connect for Health Colorado,” was established after the Affordable Care Act went into effect more than 10 years ago. According to Connect for Health Colorado, more than 5,600 Mesa County residents are currently enrolled in a state marketplace insurance plan. At its core, the marketplace makes it easier for individuals and small businesses to compare and purchase private health insurance plans.
