It's safe to say we've seen a wild weekend of weather so far in Glasgow , but with a yellow rain alert in force today (Sunday, December 14), things will only get wetter. And what's more, areas of Ayrshire and South Lanarkshire have found themselves under a more severe amber warning of 'very heavy and persistent rain'.

Glasgow is under a widespread yellow warning for rain until midnight as issued by the Met Office , while much of South Lanarkshire remains in the yellow alert zone until 9am on Monday (December 15). Areas south and west of Kilmarnock come under the more severe amber rain warning, which is also to last until midnight on Sunday.
