The weather warning that showed a yellow rain warning for the west of Scotland, which originally just missed Glasgow has been updated to include Glasgow, with an amber warning issued in the south of Scotland.

Glasgow will be hit with a yellow weather warning for rain at 12pm until 11.59pm on Sunday, according to the updated forecast. The Met Office has said: "Rain developing across western Scotland will become persistent and heavy at times through the rest of the day and into Sunday, before easing from the northwest during Sunday.

"Most areas within the warning will see 30-50mm of rain, whilst some of the high ground of Skye and western Scotland could see close to 100mm. Strong and gusty southwesterly winds will accompany the rain.
