One of the suspected Bondi Beach gunmen has been identified, after 12 people were killed and at least 29 were injured in a mass shooting during a Hanukkah party.

A law enforcement source confirmed to ABC News that 24-year-old Naveed Akram, from Bonnyrigg in Sydney’s south-west, was one of the two shooters.

He is reported to be the shooter filmed opening fire from a bridge, who was later apprehended by police, the Daily Mail reported.

The other shooter was killed at the scene.

Police are currently raiding the suburban home of Akram, which has been owned by his family for a year. The paper said at least people were taken out of the property by police at gunpoint, as a crowd watched from the pavement.
