Pig found hoofing it through Michigan snowstorm traced to local pet shop purchase

A piglet is being held at Saginaw County Animal Care & Control after a brief stay at the Saginaw Township Police Department headquarters.

The ginger female piglet was brought to the headquarters after it was seen making its way through snow by a resident at Lawndale Estates mobile home park on Wednesday, Dec. 10.

While at the headquarters, the pig was showered with gifts to make their stay more comfortable, including food pellets and vegetables.

The pig has been traced to a local pet store, but the animal has not yet been claimed by its owner.
