FLINT, MI - The former St. Pius X church and gymnasium on the city’s east side is being reimagined as a community hub for people in recovery, thanks to a major renovation effort by New Paths Inc.

The behavioral health organization has acquired the 14-acre property, located at 3139 Hogarth Ave., and plans to launch a series of recovery-friendly activities and events in the coming weeks.

New Paths Executive Director Dr. James Hudgens, who grew up attending school and church at the St. Pius campus, said the project is a homecoming that blends personal history with community purpose.
