After an unprecedentedly poor year for U.S. tourism and other travelers , marked by a dramatic drop in revenue, the U.S. policy continues to antagonize international visitors seeking to come to America.
At a recent press conference, U.S. President Donald Trump gave his verbal stamp of approval to a controversial proposal by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The proposal, posted in the Federal Register , requires some visitors to provide social media information from the last five years, including their phone numbers and email addresses for the same period, along with other personal details.
The question being asked of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees CBP, is how these changes would affect those seeking to come to the United States.
