Five journalists working for Al Jazeera were killed by Israel in a targeted airstrike on a tent city in Gaza City on Sunday.
Anas Al Sharif, a prominent journalist reporting through the conflict, was killed alongside Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher and Moamen Aliwa. Their assistant Mohammed Noufal and two other people also died in the strike.
Israel claimed Al Sharif headed a Hamas cell, a claim rejected by Al Jazeera.
Journalist and rights groups are condemning the killings, as Israel increases assaults in Gaza City after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his security cabinet approved a plan to take over the area.
