A Surprise fourth-grade teacher at Countryside Elementary School was honored as one of five winners of the Four Peaks for Teachers “Thank a Teacher” campaign.

Flor Dominguez earned $1,000 for supplies for her students as part of the 14th annual campaign from the local brewer.

A family member, Ilse Diaz, wrote in her nomination application: “Ms. Dominguez always goes above and beyond for all her students, from ELL to ELD students, to her IEP students. She gives them space to always feel their emotions and implements good character to be kind in every situation. This past school year her classroom thrived immensely. This grant will give her the tools and extra money to help further her classroom and help her students thrive even more. Everyone blooms in Ms. Dominguez’s classroom.”
