CLEVELAND (WJW) -- A local father is speaking out to the FOX 8 I-Team after his daughter died unexpectedly of fentanyl poisoning in an effort to honor her memory and to educate others.
Christopher Zimmerman, who lives in Geauga County, tells the I-Team he will never be able to heal the huge hole in his heart caused by the 2023 unexpected death of his daughter Nichole, who was known to family and friends as Cole.
“Nichole was a very kind, loving 26-year-old woman,” Zimmerman said. “She was a brand new mother. She and her boyfriend were living and working in Michigan. They were saving for a home when they passed away on Dec. 29 due to fentanyl poisoning.”
