CLEVELAND (WJW) -- A generous donation from you could help save the life of a local animal in need.

Fox 8 is excited to once again host the annual Dick Goddard APL Telethon on Wednesday, Sept. 10, with proceeds from the fundraiser supporting the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL).

The APL is a state-of-the-art animal shelter that prepares animals for adoption, finds them loving homes and also handles humane law enforcement across Cuyahoga County.

"Every animal that comes to us has a story," said Judy Hunter, vice president of philanthropy and communications with the Cleveland APL.
