MINGO JUNCTION, Ohio (WTRF) — What started as a string of vandalism cases in Mingo Junction ended with a reminder of community spirit, as police and a local business came together to help a widow repair her damaged car.

Two juveniles are in custody after multiple vehicles and homes were vandalized with rocks earlier this month, police said. Officers first responded to the Five Points area, where they found a car with three broken windows and a nearby house with a shattered glass panel. Surveillance footage later confirmed two children were responsible.

One of the juveniles admitted to "just having fun" breaking windows, police said. In total, more than $2,000 in damage was reported, including shattered front and rear windows on several vehicles. Both juveniles are now in detention.
