EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Police say they charged a 30-year-old Evansville man with strangulation, sexual battery, and intimidation after an incident that happened last week.

On Thursday, Aug. 21, officers were called to some apartments on Eden Drive, where a woman said she had been assaulted.

EPD says the victim told officers she was in an argument with Kevin Profit when he got mad, slapped her, and pushed her over.

The victim said that Profit also strangled and sexually assaulted her during the incident and threatened to kill her, before leaving through a window.

Police used a K9 in an attempt to find Profit, but say they were unsuccessful.

Profit was eventually arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on Monday night.
