GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) – The White Oak Road roundabout has reopened as work crews move on to the next phase of the road improvement project in Garner.

The second phase of construction was completed on Monday, opening the roadway back to traffic the following day.

Crews are working to install a partial dual-lane roundabout at the intersection of White Oak Road, Hebron Church Road, and Ackerman Road.

The project includes street and storm drainage improvements, raised concrete splitter islands, private utility relocation/coordination, pavement markings, as well as traffic signage.

Phase three is now underway and will involve the construction of a bypass lane, the Town of Garner said.
