A date has been set for an extraordinary council meeting into local concerns over allegations that a schoolgirl in Nuneaton was raped. It has been confirmed that the special meeting will be held at the Town Hall next month after protests took place in the town.
The Conservatives at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council called for the special summit and a date has now been set - Tuesday, September 16. This is one day before a full council meeting is due to be held.
It follows concerns raised as a result of the investigation into the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl in the town.
