CANAL WINCHESTER, Ohio — A deadly virus that kills the vast majority of puppies without treatment is being stopped in its tracks — thanks to an innovative rescue facility in central Ohio.

Gigi’s, a 26,000-square-foot dog welfare facility located in Canal Winchester, is home to a one-of-its-kind parvovirus treatment center within a rescue facility. Since opening the specialized unit in 2020, Gigi’s has treated more than 350 puppies infected with the highly contagious—and often fatal—disease.
