CHAPEL HILL, NC - James Clemens alum Gio Lopez will serve as Bill Belichick's quarterback at North Carolina this season.

The coach announced during a Wednesday press conference that Lopez was named the Tar Heels' starter.

Lopez started his career at South Alabama. The lefty threw for 18 touchdowns and rushed for seven last season.
