(FOX40.COM) — The League of Women Voters of California announced on Wednesday that it will not take a position on Proposition 50, but instead will take a neutral stance on the Congressional Redistricting Amendment.

Shifting focus toward empowering California voters, the nonprofit is not taking a stance on the special election taking place on Nov. 4, officials said. While LWV previously issued an independent statement opposing mid-cycle redistricting, they have since prioritized aligning with the national league and with state and local leagues.
