BELMONT COUNTY, OH (WTRF) - The Parent Project of the Belmont and Harrison County Juvenile Courts now has an added compound "Teen Recharge."
Court officials say the parents often said the program was good, but they wished their kids could experience it too.
Starting September 18, the parents will take their part of the class, and the kids will have their own, all on Zoom.
It navigates the challenges of raising at-risk kids, ages 12 through 18, who are on probation in the court system.
And so, we were able to get professionals in mental health, drug and alcohol, our local health department to come together and create this program. So, some of the subjects being touched on are drug and alcohol, truancy, the importance of schooling, how to build a self-esteem, kind of love yourself and us
