IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - A group of health care workers said they’re worried about the future care of veterans.

Their concerns were heightened earlier this month, when President Donald Trump signed an executive order to reduce staff at VA clinics nationwide.

For example, Desert Storm Veteran Sergeant Joe Stutler was one of a few dozen who came to protest the decision to reduce VA jobs nationwide by 30,000 by the end of next month.

“This is my hospital, this is where I get all of my health care,” he said.

Stutler joined the Army when he was 19. He served for nearly 20 years and deployed to Germany, Desert Storm, and toured with the National Guard. He was injured while overseas.
