A Kenai man was arrested last Friday after fleeing Central Peninsula Hospital while under a Title 47 hold, allegedly assaulting a nurse on his way out and later being found in a pickup truck headed toward Safeway.

According to an affidavit filed by police, Jayson Sanchez fled the CPH emergency room around 10:22 a.m. on Friday, August 22, Hospital staff reported he broke through the ambulance bay doors after shoving an Emergency Room nurse, who tried to block his exit. The nurse told investigators that Sanchez grabbed her arm and squeezed it hard enough to leave painful marks before shoving her aside.
