Shortly after Google announced its $9 billion investment in Virginia and planned data center complex in Chesterfield County , the company announced its involvement in two other data center projects in the county.
During the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors meeting Wednesday, Google confirmed that it was behind Project Loch and Project Skye, data center developments located at Watkins Centre and Upper Magnolia Green West respectively.
Part of Google's recent investment will go toward Project Peanut, a data center development at 2700 Bermuda Hundred Road near Meadowville Technology Park. The company said there are no current plans for Project Loch and Project Skye.
