PAWTUCKET – While maintaining its long-standing tradition of bringing arts and culture to Pawtucket through recurring events like Empanada Fest and the Slater Park Fall Festival, this year’s Pawtucket Arts Festival is throwing something new into the mix.

The festival, scheduled to run for two weekends, Aug. 29 through 31, and Sept. 5 through 7, will host a free Mayor’s Movie Night at the Centerville Bank Stadium, 150 Taft St. on Friday, Sept. 5 at 8 p.m.

The movie, “Guardians of the Galaxy” will be screened outdoors on the stadium’s jumbotron for attendees to enjoy under the stars, with free popcorn available while supplies last, said Jennifer Kilsey, the city’s cultural affairs program coordinator.
