ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. —

Kathy Seiden is a St. Tammany Councilwoman for District 4. She was elected in 2023 and chairs the Economic Development Committee helping to oversee the parish's $160 million budget.

Seiden is a lifelong Republican and sent this statement to WDSU News about entering the race.

"This is something we're taking very seriously and will be making an official announcement soon. I think people would like an option of someone they can relate to who understands what a normal family goes through every day."
