ASHVILLE, Ala. ( WBRC ) - New developments have surfaced in a case that has drawn the attention of homeowners across central Alabama. A contractor accused of scamming multiple people out of thousands of dollars is now facing charges.
The Alabama Attorney General’s Office has indicted 24-year-old Adriane Hernandez on charges of first-degree theft of property and violation of the Alabama Home Builders Licensure Law.
The indictment, filed last week in Monroe County, accuses Hernandez of stealing more than $2,500 from Randy McKinley and a company called Good Flippin Homes LLC. The theft charge is a felony. The second charge, a violation of the state’s licensure law, is a misdemeanor stemming from Hernandez working as an unlicensed contractor.
