MOORHEAD — Within a one-minute span, the fans at Jim Gotta Stadium got quite the show from the Moorhead Spuds late in the third quarter.

Spuds defensive back Madison Suah snared an interception at the 2-yard line, and two plays later, wide receiver David Mack tip-toed down the right sideline for a 93-yard touchdown reception.

Moorhead scored 35 unanswered points in the second half to power a 48-10 win over Rogers in the season-opener on Thursday night.

“In the locker room, (head coach Kevin) Feeney gave us a little speech that we got to turn it around if we want to win this game,” said Mack, who led the Spuds with five receptions and 154 yards. “We adjusted. … It came out in the second half.”
