Coventry City have had a third attempt to sign Hull’s Charlie Hughes turned down, with the Tiger’s standing firm and seemingly determined to keep the defender at the MKM Stadium.

The Sky Blues have already seen bids of £4m and £7m rejected by their Championship rivals , and our sister title Hull Daily Mail report that a latest bid is understood to be in the region of £10m, but, again, it has been rebuffed.

It further says that Hull remain determined to keep their highly-rated centre-half beyond Monday night’s transfer deadline, with the 21-year-old viewed as an integral part of Sergej Jakirovic’s squad this season.
