Kids had a fun and educational opportunity to learn all about fire safety with Summit Fire Protection on Thursday at Sandcastles Children’s Museum.

Heath Carpenter, with Summit Fire Protection, had kids’ full attention as he gave some tips on fire safety, such as being sure smoke detectors are working properly, never play with fire, have a safety plan on where to meet up with parents in case of a fire, and get a hold of 911 if a fire is discovered.

Carpenter had various fire extinguishers displayed for kids to look at, even extinguishers cut in half so they could see how it is made.
