COLCHESTER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - This week Julia Swift reviewed "Highest 2 Lowest", the most recent film from Spike Lee.
Swift notes that this film is a remake of one Lee watched in school, and follows a music industry executive who thinks his son has been kidnapped.
While it certainly feels like a Spike Lee creation, Swift believes that "Highest 2 Lowest" didn't quite work saying it was "not all of a piece, all of a vision."
The first hour is clunky, slow and lacking, but the second half has "some of the best acting, writing and directing that I've seen in a long time." Because both halves of the film are so disjointed, Swift recommends waiting until the film hits streaming.
Still, anyone that wants to see "Highest 2 Lowest" can catch it in theatres now.
