BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - A Beaufort County parole officer is facing a litany of charges in connection with his alleged misconduct and violation of his parolees over the last year.

David Johnathon Shytle, Jr., 47, of Beaufort, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault and battery and five counts of misconduct in office.

With incidents dating back to Aug. 23, 2024, Shytle is accused of offenses ranging from the sending of inappropriate images and texts to the nonconsensual touching of his victims’ private parts, according to affidavits.

The documents, which detail five different incidents over the last year, state that Shytle grabbed and licked his victims at times. The most recent incident is listed as April 4 of this year.
