CARROLL COUNTY — The Carroll County MU Extension is the Northwest Region County Council of the Year.

In a news release the MU Extension says the Carroll County office was recognized for its annual Back to School initiative that provides backpacks and supplies to local students.

Throughout July extension council members partnered with schools, businesses and volunteers to organize and distribute 143 backpacks to 62 families. In 2024 96 backpacks distributed to 60 families.
